Role overview

IIIT Sonepat is seeking committed, research-driven Indian nationals for faculty appointments through direct recruitment under its Four Tier Flexible System. The openings are in Computer Science & Engineering and Information Technology.

Available positions and vacancies

• Associate Professor (CSE & IT), Grade Level 13A2 — 2 vacancies
• Assistant Professor Grade-II (CSE & IT), Grade Level 10 — 10 vacancies

Specialization areas

Applications are acceptable for all areas within Computer Science & Engineering and Information Technology, with emphasis on subjects such as Software Engineering, Database and Web Technologies, Computational Intelligence, Software Testing, Computer Networks, Cybersecurity, Blockchain, and related fields.

Eligibility and qualifications

• Associate Professor: PhD in a relevant discipline (CSE or IT) along with a first-class B.Tech/BE or M.Tech/ME.
• Assistant Professor Grade-II: PhD in a relevant discipline (CSE or IT) along with a first-class B.Tech/BE or M.Tech/ME.
• Candidates for faculty roles in CSE and IT must hold a bachelor’s degree in Engineering and/or Technology.

Experience and selection profile

• Associate Professor: at least 6 years of post-PhD experience, or 9 years of total experience excluding the PhD enrolment period, with at least 3 years at Assistant Professor level with AGP 8000 or an equivalent scale.
• Assistant Professor Grade-II: no minimum experience specified.
• Preference is indicated for applicants with peer-reviewed publications, ongoing research, patents, funded projects, teaching lab innovation, academic outreach, industry collaboration, and use of ICT-enabled teaching.

Compensation

The salary package includes pay as per the 7th CPC pay level, along with transport allowance, dearness allowance, HRA or accommodation, and the employer’s contribution to NPS, as applicable under Government of India rules.
