Role Overview

The Factory HR Manager will be responsible for leading HR operations across the manufacturing facility, ensuring the right workforce is available, compliant, well-managed, and supported. This role covers hiring, manpower planning, payroll coordination, statutory compliance, industrial relations, employee engagement, and HR process execution across production and support departments.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan manpower needs and lead hiring for production, quality, warehouse, maintenance, and office-based teams.
• Maintain sufficient staffing levels so production goals and operational needs are met on time.
• Manage attendance, shift rosters, leave tracking, overtime coordination, payroll inputs, and workforce allocation.
• Ensure adherence to applicable labor and factory regulations, including PF, ESIC, bonus, gratuity, minimum wages, the Factory Act, and the Contract Labour (Regulation & Abolition) Act.
• Oversee contractor workforce records, statutory obligations, attendance, and wage-related coordination.
• Address employee concerns, disciplinary matters, domestic enquiries, and overall industrial relations.
• Work closely with production, QA, QC, stores, maintenance, and EHS teams to keep HR processes running smoothly.
• Maintain employee files, statutory records, HR paperwork, and support ISO, GMP, BIS, and regulatory audits.
• Create and update HR policies, SOPs, and employee welfare programs.
• Arrange induction programs, technical upskilling, safety sessions, GMP awareness training, and compliance training.
• Coordinate with PF, ESIC, labor department officials, the Factory Inspector, and other government authorities as needed.
• Prepare HR MIS dashboards, manpower studies, attrition reports, and productivity-related metrics for management review.
• Support engagement, performance management, and retention efforts to improve workforce stability.
• Help maintain a disciplined, safe, and compliant environment suitable for a medical disposable manufacturing plant.

Requirements

• Strong experience in factory HR operations within a manufacturing environment.
• Good understanding of labor law compliance and statutory processes.
• Hands-on knowledge of attendance, payroll coordination, contractor management, and workforce administration.
• Ability to manage employee relations, grievance handling, and disciplinary processes professionally.
• Experience in coordinating with cross-functional plant teams and external statutory authorities.
• Capability to maintain detailed records, reports, and compliance documentation.
• Familiarity with audit support, policy implementation, and training coordination.
