Role overview

A confidential client working through Fulchester Consultants is hiring a senior executive coach and operational excellence leader. In this position, you will partner with senior leaders to strengthen leadership impact, improve operational results, and support the execution of strategic priorities. The opportunity suits a commercially astute operator who can advise executives while also helping the business perform more effectively across core functions.

Challenge the role is intended to address

The organisation needs a trusted senior advisor who can build leadership capability, improve alignment across teams, and raise operational effectiveness in a growing business. The ideal person will blend executive coaching with sound operational judgement to help leaders make stronger decisions, drive better execution, and support long-term growth.

Key accountabilities

  • Provide structured one-to-one coaching and mentoring to senior leaders.
  • Give practical feedback that helps executives improve judgement, leadership impact, and decision-making.
  • Help leadership groups work more effectively together and strengthen team dynamics.
  • Partner with senior management to identify operational improvements that lift efficiency, control costs, and support sustainable growth.
  • Contribute to alignment and oversight across important operational functions such as finance, HR, and compliance, working alongside internal leadership.
  • Spot opportunities to improve business performance and support initiatives that deliver those improvements.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the CEO and executive team on leadership, talent development, and organisational effectiveness.
  • Support employee engagement, succession planning, and the development of a high-performance culture.
  • Build strong internal relationships that reinforce operational excellence and strategic growth.

Impact and success measures

Success in this role will likely be seen through stronger leadership effectiveness, sharper executive decision-making, better collaboration across leadership teams, measurable gains in operational efficiency and execution, stronger support for growth initiatives, and improved capability in talent, engagement, and succession planning.

Background and experience needed

We are looking for someone who has operated at VP, C-suite, or an equivalent senior leadership level and who has a proven record of improving business performance, leading teams, and coaching senior stakeholders. You should be able to engage credibly with executives, guide leadership teams, and contribute meaningful operational insight across the business.

Essential qualifications and capabilities

  • Experience gained in VP, C-suite, or comparable senior leadership positions.
  • Proven ability in operational strategy, business performance improvement, and team leadership.
  • Strong capability in executive coaching, mentoring, and leadership development.
  • Clear and effective communication, along with strong stakeholder management skills.
  • Solid commercial judgement and a strong grasp of strategy, operations, and leadership practice.
  • Experience working in complex operational settings.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, or a related discipline.
  • An advanced degree would be considered an advantage.
  • Ability to work remotely from within the United States, with occasional travel as needed.

Especially relevant experience

  • Senior operations leadership.
  • Operational excellence or business transformation work.
  • Executive coaching or leadership advisory experience.
  • Leadership exposure across HR, compliance, or other cross-functional business areas.
  • Background in professional services, technology, banking, or similar complex environments.
  • Equivalent experience will also be considered if you can demonstrate strong executive credibility, operational leadership, and coaching ability.
