EVP, Global Head of Quality

About the Role

We seek a distinguished executive to join our Global Operations Leadership Team as the EVP, Global Head of Quality. This pivotal role covers responsibility for our worldwide Drug Discovery and Drug Development operations across Europe and the USA.

Reporting to the Chief Operations Officer, the successful candidate will spearhead the modernization and harmonization of our quality function globally, supporting the company's growth initiative under Project Horizon. We need a leader experienced in navigating complex life sciences environments and matrix organizations, capable of harnessing quality as a vital competitive advantage.

Key Responsibilities

• Establish and steer Evotec's global quality strategy spanning drug discovery and development.
• Lead extensive transformation efforts impacting systems, organizational structures, processes, and capabilities.
• Elevate the profile of quality as a differentiator in client engagements, business development, and strategic expansion.
• Foster strong executive partnerships internally and with pharmaceutical, biotech, and regulatory stakeholders.
• Assure top-tier compliance with GXP standards while promoting agility, scalability, and operational efficiency.
• Direct and motivate a diverse international quality team located across the UK, Germany, France, Italy, and the USA.
• Influence how quality drives business success, bolsters client assurance, spurs innovation, and enhances long-term enterprise value.

Candidate Profile

• Extensive senior leadership experience within CROs, biotech, or pharmaceutical sectors.
• Deep insight into partner expectations and challenges in complex CRO frameworks.
• Proven success leading transformational initiatives in global, multi-site, matrixed organizations.
• Comprehensive expertise with GXP environments including GLP, GCP, and GMP.
• Strong commercial insight with a history of positioning quality as a strategic business catalyst.
• Outstanding executive-level stakeholder management and influence skills.
• Experience managing sizable international teams through change, complexity, and expansion.
• A balanced blend of scientific authority, operational discipline, and business pragmatism.
