About the Role
Evotec is looking for an experienced and strategic Senior Vice President (SVP) to head the global Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) function. Reporting to the EVP of Global FP&A and Controllership, this pivotal leadership role will partner closely with the CFO and executive team to shape investor communications, lead capital market engagement, and drive financial strategy. The SVP will oversee budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning processes globally, aligning these activities with the corporate strategy and operational goals. The role emphasizes generating value through data-driven decisions and advancing finance transformation initiatives, supported by managing a talented team and enhancing financial systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate as a strategic advisor to the CFO and EVP Global FP&A on investor communications, capital market interactions, and financial presentations.
- Lead the preparation and management of presentations and materials for investors, analysts, board briefings, earnings calls, and investor events.
- Develop persuasive financial narratives to support external communications, mergers and acquisitions, and long-term corporate positioning.
- Oversee the global FP&A function to ensure strategic coherence, transparency, and value generation across all regions and business units.
- Manage the annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, and long-range financial plans, ensuring alignment with business strategies and market conditions.
- Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to enhance accountability and identify strategic business opportunities or risks.
- Lead and mentor a high-performing finance team of six professionals, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and strategic insight.
- Coordinate cross-functionally with Finance Business Partnering and Global Business Controlling teams to ensure consistent and aligned financial support worldwide.
- Maintain and improve the global financial data models, internal reporting, and planning tools to support decision-making at various organizational levels.
- Drive finance modernization initiatives by championing the technology strategy related to reporting systems and data infrastructure.
Ideal Qualifications and Experience
- University degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or related field; MBA or advanced degree is advantageous.
- Proven extensive experience in financial strategy, investor relations, or market communications, preferably within pharmaceutical, life sciences, or management consulting sectors.
- Background in consulting or corporate strategy with demonstrated ability to translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights and market narratives.
- Proven track record of executive-level business partnering with strong communication and presentation skills customized for diverse stakeholders.
- Experience managing international finance teams and overseeing global financial planning cycles.
- Strong expertise in financial systems, reporting tools, and data modeling best practices.
- Excellent proficiency in English, both written and spoken; additional language skills are a plus.
- International mindset with experience operating within multinational, cross-cultural environments.
