Role Overview

As an Events and Sales Executive, you will be pivotal in driving group bookings, events, and partnerships. Your responsibilities will include converting inquiries into confirmed bookings, orchestrating unforgettable events and activations that increase revenue, developing strong local relationships, and ensuring guests have exhilarating experiences. Collaborating closely with food and beverage and front of house teams, you'll maintain smooth operations with a focus on guests. Christchurch serves as the launchpad, with expansion plans to Wellington and Auckland in 2027, offering opportunities for growth within the company.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage enquiries for events, group, and corporate bookings from initial contact through post-event follow-up.
• Establish and nurture local partnerships to boost patronage at Rambler, Drifter’s bar and social space.
• Plan and coordinate events and activations aligning with Drifter’s brand identity to create lasting impressions.
• Professionally handle leads, contracts, timelines, and communications.
• Actively engage in the delivery of events with enthusiasm and commitment.

Candidate Profile

• Experience in hospitality or events, preferably in guest-facing or coordination roles.
• Proven confidence in sales, adept at qualifying leads, following up, and closing deals effectively.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with an aptitude for building rapport with clients and vendors.
• Strong organizational abilities and meticulous attention to detail to manage timelines, contracts, and logistics.
• Self-motivated and proactive mindset, capable of anticipating needs and taking initiative.
• Familiarity with CRM or booking systems or the ability to quickly learn new platforms.
• Flexible and hands-on attitude, willing to assist wherever required to ensure successful events.
