Job description
Job Overview
We are seeking skilled Australian English voice actors to provide distinct multi-character voice recordings designed to help develop internal Text-to-Speech (TTS) models. This contract role requires performing a variety of fictional characters, each with unique accents, tones, and personalities, all executed by a single voice actor.
Responsibilities
- Produce approximately three hours of audio featuring dialogues involving at least two characters.
- Modify voice tone, accent, and style to clearly differentiate each character based on detailed descriptions.
- Ensure high clarity and distinction between voices for all characters portrayed.
- Deliver high-fidelity, raw WAV audio files following strict technical specifications.
- Collaborate on up to two rounds of corrections to address any performance discrepancies.
Candidate Profile and Skills
- Must be a native Australian English speaker.
- Experienced in voice acting with a solid ability to create unique character voices.
Application Details and Technical Requirements
- Applicants are required to submit an audition using only one pre-assigned script provided in the job posting.
- Audition selection is determined alphabetically by first name: applicants from A-K choose one of the first three scripts; L-Z choose from the latter three.
- Recording specifications include 24-bit depth, 48 kHz sample rate, mono channel, unprocessed WAV format, with a noise floor of at least -60 dB.
- Submissions must be original human voice recordings without any post-processing, compression, plugins, or AI augmentation.
- After selection, the three-hour audio project must be delivered within one week.
Additional Recording Guidelines
- Express the emotions as indicated in the provided scripts accurately.
- Read the complete script including narrations, not just character dialogues.
- Maintain an appropriate distance from the microphone to avoid audio distortion.
Project Nature
This engagement is strictly for internal research and development. Recordings will not be utilized in commercial or public-facing media.
