Role Overview
An enterprise customer focused on high-quality, diverse AI training datasets is looking for an Amharic transcription professional who can convert recorded audio into highly accurate verbatim text. The work goes beyond clean typing: the transcript must preserve the exact way speech happens, including filler words, repetitions, stutters, unfinished phrases, and false starts.
Key Work
- Create verbatim transcripts from both one-speaker and multi-speaker audio files, aiming for at least 98% accuracy.
- Apply timestamps with tight audio alignment, keeping the gap between the transcript and audio under 500 milliseconds.
- Tag speakers in dialogues involving two to three people.
- Mark non-speech elements such as laughter, background sounds, interruptions, and parts of the audio that cannot be understood.
- Work in line with the provided transcription rules and quality benchmarks for every task.
- Submit completed transcription work on time.
Qualifications
Applicants should have native-level command of Amharic and some basic or early-stage transcription experience. The role calls for someone who can preserve verbal quirks exactly as spoken, is comfortable using browser-based transcription software, and can reliably maintain quality and deadline commitments.
