Transcription Specialist – Australian English (Remote Contract)

About the Role

This position is for an Australian English Language Expert working on a contract basis, remotely. The role involves enhancing AI language data through transcription accuracy and voice recordings in natural Australian English. Commitment ranges from 10 to 40 hours per week, with compensation between $15 and $25 per hour.

Key Responsibilities

• Carefully review and amend machine-generated English transcriptions to ensure linguistic precision.
• Record yourself reading the corrected transcriptions using a clear and natural Australian English accent.
• Enhance AI language datasets by ensuring they reflect authentic Australian English usage and phrases.
• Work collaboratively with the client's team, offering feedback on transcription quality and audio guidelines.
• Maintain high attention to detail when examining text and audio for any inaccuracies or inconsistencies.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Native-level proficiency in Australian English, both written and spoken.
• Strong understanding of Australian English phonetics, pronunciation, and diction.
• Experience in transcription correction with the ability to quickly identify and correct errors.
• Clear, confident vocal delivery suitable for recording audio passages.
• Ability to work independently in a quiet, distraction-free setting.
