About the Role and Company
Join ESFORIN SE as an Energy & Flexibility Manager, contributing to the innovative energy trading and management landscape in Germany. The company thrives on transforming the energy sector by orchestrating the integration of renewable energy sources and managing over 200 gigawatts of installed electricity capacity within the German grid. ESFORIN emphasizes rapid responses to market volatility, tailored to customer specifications.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement automated energy trading strategies for algorithmic trading platforms.
- Conduct market analysis and backtesting to identify the potential for energy flexibility.
- Advance and refine automated energy trading tools and processes, aiming for automation levels of up to 95%.
- Engage in communication with clients and network operators across Western Europe.
- Support key account management during client meetings, both onsite and virtually.
- Procure energy daily from spot markets, short-term markets, and over-the-counter (OTC) transactions for gas and electricity.
- Participate in industry events such as association meetings, network operator conferences, and exchange forums.
Requirements
- Hold a university degree (university or technical college) in computer science, industrial engineering, electrical engineering, mathematics, physics, or related fields.
- Have prior experience in the energy industry.
- Demonstrate strong analytical skills and rapid comprehension ability.
- Possess programming knowledge in Python, C++, or VBA; additional experience with R, Matlab, SQL, Go, and algorithmic trading is advantageous.
- Display team spirit, flexibility, and a proactive work ethic.
- Work diligently and accurately with attention to detail.
- Fluency in German and conversational proficiency in English are essential; knowledge of an additional language such as French is desirable.
- An active work permit for Germany is mandatory.
