Role overview
This position sits within Zoom’s Global Employment Law group and focuses on giving practical legal support on complex workplace matters across EMEA and APAC. The role partners closely with HR and business leaders to handle employee relations, compliance, and risk in a fast-moving, highly collaborative setting.
About the team
The Global Employment Law team supports operations across the US, EMEA, and APAC. The group works across regions to help the business stay compliant while still meeting operational needs, all within Zoom’s people-first culture.
What you will do
- Advise on employment law issues spanning multiple EMEA and APAC jurisdictions, including employee relations, dismissals, and disputes.
- Work with HR and business stakeholders to design compliant policies, processes, and training.
- Lead employment litigation strategy and coordinate with outside counsel on complex matters.
- Support cross-border initiatives such as reorganisations, mergers and acquisitions, and Works Council matters.
- Develop strong working relationships with colleagues in Legal, People Experience, and the broader business.
- Monitor legal developments across EMEA and APAC and provide updates and guidance when needed.
What the company is looking for
- A fully qualified lawyer admitted in a European jurisdiction with 3 to 5 years of post-qualification experience.
- Strong knowledge of international employment law across EMEA and APAC.
- The ability to turn complex legal issues into clear, practical, commercially sensible advice.
- Good judgement and discretion when handling sensitive employee relations situations.
- Experience managing multiple priorities and overlapping workstreams in a changing environment.
- Comfort working across legal, compliance, and HR teams to build alignment.
- Prior in-house experience or a secondment with a global business.
- Experience advising technology companies on employment matters.
Compensation and working style
The stated salary range or on-target earnings is €82,200 to €143,900. This is a hybrid role, combining office-based and remote work in line with the company’s structured hybrid model.
