Overview

We are partnering with a financial technology firm seeking a dedicated Contract HR People Generalist. This is a fully remote position tailored for professionals within the US, preferably residing in the Mountain or Central Time Zones. The contract duration is three months, offering an hourly pay rate ranging from $35 to $40.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with various HR programs including employee relations, performance evaluations, compensation, benefits management, leave processing, and policy guidance.
  • Oversee compliance with mandated training initiatives through HRIS platforms like Workday; employ AI-based reporting to highlight training completion gaps and generate compliance reports.
  • Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local employment regulations by tracking updates and aiding in refining policies and procedures.
  • Support employee relations activities such as handling performance improvement plans, corrective measures, investigations, and exit interviews, ensuring accurate and consistent documentation.
  • Collaborate with HR Business Partners to manage complex employee cases by organizing documentation, reviewing history, and proposing solutions.
  • Create and maintain updated HR policies, procedures, and documentation utilizing contemporary productivity tools and AI technologies.
  • Contribute to employee engagement efforts by analyzing survey data and recognizing patterns to improve workplace experience.
  • Manage HR meetings and training sessions, including detailed record-keeping of discussions and action points.
  • Keep abreast of HR best practices, legislative changes, and emerging technologies including AI tools that enhance HR functions and employee engagement.
  • Engage in cross-departmental HR projects, applying technology and AI to optimize research, reporting, process efficiency, and project delivery.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of progressive experience as an HR Generalist or Specialist.
  • Prior experience supporting employees in a sizable corporate setting is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency with Workday and Excel, comfortable integrating AI-enabled tools or workflows, and a solid foundation in HR practices and compliance.
  • Comprehensive understanding of employment laws and regulations including EEOC, ADA, FMLA, Workers' Compensation, unemployment claims, and employee relations.
  • Experienced with HRIS systems, ideally Workday or a similar Human Capital Management platform.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects efficiently within a dynamic work environment.
  • Strong focus on customer service and ability to establish relationships at all organization levels.
  • Adaptability and curiosity to evolve with advancing HR technologies and methodologies.

Preferred Credentials

  • A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a closely related discipline is preferred.
  • Certifications such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR are advantageous but not mandatory.
