Job description
Job Overview
This position involves installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems within buildings and structures to ensure efficient and safe electrical operations. It encompasses installation of conduits, pipes, wiring, breakers, and related hardware in compliance with electrical codes.
Key Responsibilities
- Install and maintain electrical control systems, wiring, and lighting setups across guest, employee, and public areas on site.
- Interpret and work from technical blueprints and diagrams correctly.
- Conduct routine electrical maintenance and inspect equipment including transformers and circuit breakers.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and repair electrical faults using appropriate diagnostic tools.
- Document repairs, gather pertinent information, and report findings.
- Perform corrective maintenance on circuit breakers and other electrical devices.
- Execute additional tasks as assigned by the Site Engineer.
Qualifications and Experience
- Possess 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience working as an electrician.
Skills and Technical Expertise
- Strong foundational knowledge of electrical theory, materials, regulations, and equipment.
- Competent in using hand-powered tools for electrical work.
- Dedication to safety protocols and adherence to legal standards.
- Sound troubleshooting abilities with timely and effective repair skills.
- Comprehensive understanding of electrical systems, power generation, blueprints, maintenance, and repairs.
- Ability to analyze problems and devise solutions efficiently.
- Knowledge of National Electrical Code requirements and local building regulations.
- Compliance with all Health, Environmental, Safety, and Security (HESS) policies.
Language Proficiency
- Fluent English speaking skills for clear communication with colleagues and guests.
- Capability to read, comprehend, and write in English to follow written instructions and provide verbal/written information as necessary.
Physical and Work Environment Requirements
- Must maintain good physical fitness and able to work outdoors.
- Effective multitasker with strong critical thinking skills.
- Customer service oriented approach.
- Work primarily in controlled environments with limited health and safety risks, but may be exposed to varying climates and machinery operation.
- Willingness to work in shifts as required.
