Role overview
We are looking for a math education leader who is excited to reshape classroom instruction and help students build a genuine enthusiasm for learning. The role is based in New York, and candidates from anywhere in the U.S. who are willing to relocate will also be considered. This is a chance to join an expanding EdTech team early in its U.S. growth and take real ownership in a fast-moving environment.
About the company
The organization is a rapidly growing global EdTech startup with more than 300 team members spread across 10 countries. It is building a new model for mathematics education rooted in research, strong teacher support, and measurable classroom outcomes. Its programs are used by more than 27,000 teachers in over 2,600 schools and have reached more than 600,000 students worldwide. With headquarters in Barcelona and a growing presence in New York, California, Texas, and other states, the U.S. team is in a major growth phase. The company works at the meeting point of learning science, product thinking, and execution, and operates with a startup culture focused on speed, ownership, experimentation, and impact.
What you will do
- Serve as a math success partner, helping transform the way teachers approach and deliver mathematics instruction.
- Build and run individualized professional development plans that fit the needs of each school and teacher.
- Coach educators directly in classrooms through observations, live demonstrations, and feedback loops.
- Support a shift toward thinking classrooms where students reason, explore, and engage more deeply with math.
- Drive outcomes such as stronger teacher confidence, higher student engagement, and better conceptual understanding.
- Facilitate practical, math-centered training sessions and workshops based on real classroom practice.
- Act as a trusted advisor to teachers and school leaders as they work through challenges and growth plans.
- Help create a connected community of math educators in your region.
- Travel to schools and districts for about 30% to 50% of your time.
What you need
- Strong academic grounding in mathematics and teaching; experience as an elementary school math teacher is a plus.
- Genuine interest in applying current research to classroom practice and improving outcomes for students and teachers.
- Ability to build meaningful relationships and create opportunities with district-level administrators or similar stakeholders.
- Strong educator-to-educator communication skills and comfort speaking with teachers.
- A practical, hands-on work style and comfort building processes from the ground up.
- An entrepreneurial mindset with the flexibility to work in an early-stage environment.
- Willingness to travel and visit schools and classrooms across your region.
Benefits
- Base compensation of $90,000 to $100,000, with on-target earnings of $130,000 and uncapped upside.
- 401(k) plan with a 5% company match.
- Medical, dental, and vision coverage, with 100% of your premium paid by the company.
- Opportunity to collaborate with respected educators, mathematicians, and researchers.
- High-trust, collaborative culture with meaningful ownership.
- Direct influence on the expansion of the U.S. business.
- Exposure to teams across Growth, Strategy, Marketing, and Math.
- Mission-driven work focused on improving how students experience mathematics.
- More than 22 days of PTO, plus an additional week for a company-wide holiday shutdown.
- Regular team gatherings and an annual offsite retreat.
