About the Role

We seek a Recruitment Specialist enthusiastic about early childhood education to manage recruitment, hiring, and onboarding for our expanding network of education centers.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end recruitment processes for positions including teachers, assistant teachers, Center Directors, administrators, and support personnel.
- Utilize diverse sourcing methods such as job boards, social media, referrals, college partnerships, networking, and community events.
- Establish and maintain a pool of qualified early childhood education professionals.
- Screen candidates, conduct phone interviews, and coordinate interviews with hiring managers.
- Represent Kido at career fairs and community hiring events.
- Create and implement recruitment strategies to attract high-quality childcare staff.
- Prepare and issue offer letters while guiding candidates through the hiring workflow.
- Manage onboarding procedures in HR systems, including documentation collection, background checks, fingerprinting, and compliance with employment clearances.
- Coordinate new employee start dates and system access including equipment distribution for administrative recruits.
- Collaborate with Center Directors and leadership teams across multiple locations, including Chicago and periodic travel to Houston and Austin, TX.
- Track recruitment metrics and ensure adherence to company policies and state licensing guidelines.
- Participate in People Team projects and occasionally provide Director Qualified (DQ) coverage at school sites.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of five years serving as a Center Director in a licensed preschool in Illinois, meeting IL 407 director qualification standards (mandatory).
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Education, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- At least two years of experience in recruitment, talent acquisition, or human resources.
- Understanding of early childhood education operations including knowledge of teacher development programs like CDA credentials.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills able to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Experience with HR information systems; familiarity with Rippling is advantageous.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred.
Physical and Essential Requirements
- Minimum age 18 years.
- Able to hear conversational speech and read printed materials with or without accommodations.
- Capable of speaking clearly and effectively.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform safe movements such as pushing, pulling, reaching, bending, and emergency evacuations related to a school environment.
- Able to respond promptly and appropriately to emergencies involving children.

Compensation
The annual salary range for this position in Chicago is $60,000 to $70,000 USD.
