Job description

Role overview

This position sits within the Controlling function for the EU Regional team in London, reporting to the Regional Brand Controller. The main objective is to strengthen online sales planning across all regional markets by improving forecast quality, budgeting, and financial planning in line with commercial timelines and growth targets.

The role works closely with Sales, Merchandising, Marketing, Expansion, logistics, and e-commerce operations to ensure plans are commercially sound, operationally feasible, and aligned with key business KPIs, especially sales and warehouse planning accuracy.

Key responsibilities

The role is responsible for building and protecting the sales plan by creating weekly and daily forecasts for each market. These forecasts must feed accurately into P&L planning, as well as formal budgeting and forecast cycles, in partnership with the E-commerce Controller.

It also involves tracking regional net sales performance versus plan, spotting opportunities to accelerate growth and improve results, and combining data from sales, web performance, customer behavior, and digital marketing spend to guide commercial decisions.

Another part of the role is reviewing sales, web, and customer data to identify trends, opportunities, and risks. Insights should be used to assess commercial actions, measure the financial effect of customer offers, and shape future planning decisions.

The position includes warehouse planning responsibilities as well, with a focus on aligning sales ambition to logistical capacity and working with logistics teams to keep warehouse operations cost-effective while maximizing sales and profitability.

Data consistency across planning systems such as Anaplan and Synapps must be maintained to support reliable and accurate planning.

Qualifications and skills

The ideal candidate should be comfortable with sales equations, forecasting, budgeting, and financial planning for an online retail environment. Strong analytical ability is needed to interpret e-commerce metrics such as traffic, conversion, average order value, returns, and digital marketing performance, and turn that information into practical commercial actions.

The role also calls for the ability to build tailored tools in Excel and Power BI to improve analysis and planning accuracy. A strategic approach is important, with the ability to develop long-term plans that support profitable online growth.

Success in the role depends on close collaboration with teams across warehouse, merchandising, marketing, and e-commerce operations, along with clear communication skills to present complex financial and commercial insights in a way that supports stakeholder decisions.
