About the Opportunity

SHEIN, a leading global online fashion retailer undergoing rapid expansion, seeks a highly skilled Director or Senior Director of Government Relations to join our team. This role is available in Singapore, London, Paris, or Brussels, and is pivotal in guiding our engagement with public policies and stakeholders across the EMEA region. The role emphasizes agility, innovation, and a profound connection between work and passion, aligning with SHEIN's core values of customer-first approach, adaptability, continuous learning, and collaborative synergy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze relevant public policies in EMEA and their potential impact on SHEIN's business operations.
  • Report to the Global Head of Public Affairs while collaborating cross-functionally with departments such as Marketing, Logistics, Legal, Compliance, PR, and ESG to develop and advocate policy positions.
  • Develop and execute stakeholder engagement strategies to build and nurture relationships with political, regulatory, civil society, and industry partners.
  • Lead the organization and management of multiple stakeholder engagement platforms to enhance collaborative efforts.
  • Translate policy and stakeholder engagements into actionable commercial opportunities to support SHEIN’s market expansion across EMEA.
  • Lead and cultivate a proactive and commercially oriented team across the EMEA region.

Qualifications & Experience

  • A university degree in International Relations, Political Science, Global Studies, Law, Economics, Communications, or related fields.
  • A minimum of 15 years’ professional experience in government relations or public policy.
  • Extensive and robust network within EU political and policy spheres, especially in Brussels, with proven experience liaising with senior corporate and political stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated skills in policy research, development, and analytical problem solving.
  • Proven capability to convert policy and regulatory initiatives into profitable business outcomes.
  • Willingness to travel extensively throughout the EMEA region.
  • Excellent presentation, written, oral communication, and project management skills.
  • Fluency in English and either French or German.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and leadership qualities.

Additional Information

The position is full-time and requires presence onsite at one of the designated locations. Candidates should be prepared for frequent travel across the EMEA region. This role is designed for a strategic leader ready to shape policy landscapes while advancing commercial success for SHEIN.
