About Vuori
Vuori creates athletic apparel that performs during training and feels relaxed enough for everyday wear. The brand is inspired by the active coastal California lifestyle, blending fitness, creativity, and an intentional way of living. In a fast-moving retail setting, Vuori focuses on helping people live with clarity, energy, and purpose while enjoying the process. The company values opportunity, growth, and personal success.
Role Overview
Vuori is hiring a Director of Social Media to define and lead its worldwide social approach across owned channels. As a member of the Brand Marketing team, you will work closely with Creative, Performance Marketing, and Merchandising to deliver social programs that are strategically aligned, culturally relevant, and visually strong. The role combines big-picture strategy, operational discipline, and a strong grasp of both storytelling and performance to help social media strengthen brand affinity, engagement, and business results.
Strategic Leadership and Vision
- Set and own the global social media direction across both organic and paid channels.
- Create the strategic structure that connects social activity to broader brand, campaign, and commercial goals.
- Work with Brand, Creative, and Performance teams to build a connected organic and paid system that improves reach, engagement, and efficiency.
- Monitor platform shifts, algorithm changes, and cultural trends so the brand stays current and influential.
- Establish measurable KPIs such as reach, engagement, growth, and ROI, and use analytics to improve content and investment decisions.
Content and Creative Excellence
- Collaborate with Creative to produce social-first content that is culturally relevant and built for video, short-form, static, and emerging formats.
- Make sure all social content reflects Vuori’s look, voice, and purpose while still feeling native to each platform.
- Guide campaign planning from concept to publication, ensuring the right timing, tone, and creative coordination across channels.
- Direct boosting and amplification efforts with the Paid Media team to expand the reach and engagement of organic content.
- Encourage testing and new ideas across platforms and formats through data-backed experimentation and iteration.
Paid Social and Performance Partnership
- Work closely with Performance Marketing to align brand storytelling with performance objectives.
- Build frameworks for boosted posts, paid social amplification, and always-on brand campaigns that support reach and conversion.
- Help shape targeting, creative testing, and budget decisions so paid media remains efficient and on-brand.
- Bring insights from paid results back into creative and content planning to improve future work.
Team Leadership and Collaboration
- Lead, coach, and develop a strong social team made up of strategists, producers, and platform specialists.
- Create scalable workflows for planning, publishing, and reporting across regions and channels.
- Strengthen collaboration with Creative, Brand, Performance Marketing, PR, and Retail partners.
- Oversee relationships with platforms, agencies, and vendors/tools to keep the brand at the cutting edge.
- Support internal education and alignment around social best practices and new platform capabilities.
Analytics and Reporting
- Partner with Analytics to monitor performance across organic and paid activity.
- Prepare executive-level reporting and practical insights that connect social outcomes to brand and business impact.
- Continuously adjust the strategy using performance learnings and emerging platform opportunities.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate brings extensive social media and digital marketing experience, including team leadership, and has a track record of scaling global social programs for consumer or lifestyle brands. You should understand major social platforms and their advertising and creator ecosystems, be able to judge content for brand fit and cultural relevance, and work comfortably with both quantitative and qualitative insights. Experience with boosted content, audience targeting, retargeting, A/B testing, agencies, budgets, and multi-market operations is important. Strong communication, organization, and cross-functional influence are also key. A willingness to travel occasionally for shoots, events, and brand activations is expected.
