Position Overview

This role is offered by a partner organization seeking a Director of Talent & People based in Mexico. The position empowers you to define and expand the people function within a high-growth, technology-centric company.

You will oversee the talent strategy, manage people operations, and enhance employee experiences by establishing robust systems that foster team success. Partnering closely with senior leadership, you will guide the attraction, development, and retention of outstanding talent. This role balances strategic direction with active involvement in recruitment, organizational growth, and human resources processes, enabling the creation of a high-performance culture across a distributed global workforce emphasizing ownership, collaboration, and innovation.

Key Accountabilities

  • Develop and continuously refine the overall Talent and People strategies to support organizational growth through suitable structures, processes, and capabilities.
  • Lead comprehensive talent acquisition strategies, workforce planning, and recruitment operations to enhance hiring quality, efficiency, and predictability.
  • Manage and grow the recruitment team by implementing scalable hiring processes accommodating multiple functions and diverse regions.
  • Provide direct support on executive and leadership recruitment, optimizing interview procedures, candidate experience, and evaluation frameworks.
  • Establish scalable people operations systems covering onboarding, offboarding, policy documentation, and employee support mechanisms.
  • Enhance the employee lifecycle experience by clarifying roles, responsibilities, organizational structures, and performance expectations.
  • Collaborate with leadership on organizational design, workforce planning, team compositions, and operational improvements.
  • Develop programs focused on performance management, feedback, career pathing, and employee retention to promote professional growth and engagement.
  • Utilize data-driven people metrics and insights to monitor organizational health and proactively identify talent-related risks.
  • Act as a strategic adviser to executives by delivering actionable solutions and building foundational infrastructure needed for sustainable growth.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Between 5 and 10+ years’ experience in Talent Acquisition, People Operations, Human Resources, or similar leadership positions.
  • Demonstrated success in supporting companies with over 100 employees, preferably within fast-growing startups, agencies, tech firms, or rapidly expanding enterprises.
  • Experience leading recruitment teams and managing complete hiring cycles.
  • Solid knowledge of people operations within remote-first or globally distributed companies.
  • Proven ability to design and implement recruiting strategies, onboarding processes, performance appraisal systems, and employee development initiatives.
  • Experience collaborating directly with company founders, executives, or senior leaders in strategic human capital decisions.
  • Strong decision-making capabilities, organizational insight, and adaptability in environments with shifting priorities and limited data.
  • A hands-on approach marked by ownership mentality focused on execution, problem-solving, and ongoing improvements.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the capacity to influence various stakeholder levels.
  • Comfort operating in dynamic, fast-paced environments where building new processes and systems is essential.

Compensation and Benefits
