Job description

Position Overview

A prominent multi-state organization is looking for a Director of Talent Operations to spearhead its HR technology initiatives, including systems integration and automation efforts. This leader will be responsible for managing the HRIS and the comprehensive talent technology ecosystem, ensuring these platforms are optimally configured, integrated, and scalable to support a large and complex employee base.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage the strategy, configuration, upkeep, and ongoing optimization of the HRIS and the full talent technology portfolio.
  • Lead implementations of HRIS platforms, system improvements, integrations, and data migrations.
  • Coordinate the integration of acquired business units into existing HR, payroll, recruitment, and workforce management systems.
  • Discover and apply AI technologies and automation solutions to enhance recruiting, onboarding, administrative tasks, reporting, and employee services.
  • Create and implement scalable workflows that enhance data accuracy, operational efficiency, and employee experience.
  • Act as the in-house subject matter expert on ADP, Greenhouse, and related platforms.
  • Manage system governance aspects such as data integrity, reporting, documentation, security, and user permissions.
  • Ensure that technology and procedures comply with employment regulations across multiple states.
  • Collaborate with human resources, payroll, legal, IT, operations, and business leaders to improve systems and processes.
  • Lead and develop a team including an HRIS Manager, two Recruiters, and an HR Administration Manager.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Extensive leadership experience in HRIS, people technology, talent operations, or HR operations.
  • Advanced practical knowledge of ADP platforms.
  • Proven experience in administering and optimizing Greenhouse software.
  • Experience supporting Zendesk-based operational environments.
  • Familiarity with employee support and operational requirements specific to California.
  • Comprehensive understanding of employment compliance and workforce regulations across multiple states.
  • Successful track record of leading HRIS implementations and complex integrations.
  • Experience assimilating newly acquired organizations, brands, or business units into existing systems.
  • Expertise in leveraging AI tools and workflow automation for HR technology enhancements.
  • Experience managing a large and geographically diverse workforce.
  • Strong project management, analytical, communication, and cross-departmental collaboration skills.
  • Ability to maintain a balance between strategic leadership and hands-on system configuration and troubleshooting.
