Position Overview

The Director of Talent Acquisition will lead the development and management of an internal recruitment team while actively contributing as a hands-on recruiter for critical positions to meet business objectives. This role extends into broader Talent Management responsibilities, encompassing talent engagement initiatives and close collaboration with HR to integrate cohesive people strategies. Over time, the position holds potential for advancement to an enterprise-level leadership role partnering with Human Resources and participating in the Executive Leadership Team.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Create and oversee a comprehensive, end-to-end recruitment framework with clear KPIs, covering all phases from strategy formulation, candidate sourcing, interviewing, evaluation, reference and background verification, to working with HR for flawless onboarding.
  • Directly manage recruitment for priority roles, setting benchmarks for best practices and mentoring the recruitment team.
  • Build, educate, and guide a dedicated team of internal and external recruiters, promoting a culture focused on excellence and responsibility.
  • Partner effectively with HR to synchronize talent acquisition with broader initiatives in talent engagement, retention, and development including employee surveys, culture development councils, and internal engagement programs.
  • Enhance YBH's market presence as an employer of choice via proactive communication, narrative building, and targeted engagement initiatives.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to evaluate current and anticipate future talent needs aligned with business growth.
  • Maintain awareness and alignment of compensation structures with HR ensuring competitiveness relative to market standards.
  • Review, refine, and evolve recruitment technologies and procedures such as applicant tracking systems, sourcing platforms, and analytics tools.
  • Analyze recruitment and engagement metrics to establish strong KPIs and support data-driven decisions.
  • Ensure recruitment compliance with regulatory standards and serve as an expert on market trends and recruiting practices.
  • Provide leadership with ongoing market intelligence on competitor talent strategies, changing talent requirements, retention challenges, and compensation trends.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree is required; a Master’s degree in Business Administration or Human Resources is preferred.
  • A minimum of 10 years' experience in talent acquisition.
  • Proven experience combining agency-side contingent search and in-house talent acquisition leadership.
  • More than 5 years’ experience managing or executing full-cycle recruiting.
  • Comprehensive knowledge and use of applicant tracking systems.
  • Documentable success in implementing and enhancing recruitment KPIs.
  • Track record of supervising recruiter teams.
  • Expertise in various recruitment channels including direct sourcing, networking, and multiple online platforms.
  • Experience with diverse candidate assessment methods.

Compensation and Schedule

Annual salary ranges from $140,000 to $150,000. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, onsite at the Torrance, CA location.
