About the Role
Join Lowe’s in Charlotte as a Director of Product Management leading a dedicated product team for a specific product group. This pivotal role involves directing research initiatives, product development, and executing comprehensive strategies to drive the product group's success. Responsibilities include developing and maintaining an extensive product roadmap, establishing clear objectives and key results (OKRs), and managing business engagements with senior leadership to ensure maximum customer value and swift delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and steer product vision, strategy, and OKRs spanning the entire product portfolio with a long-term perspective of two to five years.
- Guide investment priorities to maximize customer benefits, including managing annual planning and representing strategies at leadership levels.
- Leverage customer and user insights across the product portfolio to enhance synergy and operational efficiency.
- Mentor the team on understanding 'jobs to be done' by target personas for all products within the scope.
- Identify and harness innovation opportunities spanning the product ranges.
- Proactively address launch risks or obstacles, communicating with leadership, evaluating options, and implementing solutions.
- Set and review product operational standards to guarantee product excellence within the domain.
- Coach team members on effective product prioritization and influence organizational decision-making to improve delivery outcomes.
- Establish enterprise standards for developing user-friendly, viable, and executable products.
- Create frameworks for product marketing and drive the team’s use of these techniques to communicate product-market fit clearly.
- Encourage data-driven decision-making and promote relevant routines to integrate data insights into roadmaps.
- Align teams on portfolio metrics, monitor OKRs, and undertake corrective actions when necessary.
- Lead and nurture the team to support company objectives while fostering an inclusive environment that enables employee growth.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, engineering, communications, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- At least 10 years of experience across project management, product management, business analysis, program management, experimentation, or product marketing.
- Minimum 6 years collaborating with technology and user experience teams on defining, scoping, and prioritizing product requirements, converting business strategy into distinct product features, and delivering digital products or experiences.
- Five years of hands-on leadership managing teams and operational or project budgets.
- Three years in agile software environments.
- Experience working cross-functionally with senior leadership in a large corporate setting, offering strategic guidance and direction.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in business administration or equivalent advanced education or experience.
- Three years leading digital product roadmaps.
- Previous leadership experience with a top 25 omnichannel retailer.
- Strong financial skills.
- Certified Scrum Product Owner accreditation.
