Product Specialist – Cargo Digital Systems

About the Role

As a Product Specialist focusing on Cargo Digital Systems, you will support the ongoing development, improvement, and management of Etihad Cargo’s digital platforms and commercial systems. This role primarily emphasizes work on the Cargo Booking Website, API integrations, and internally created digital tools.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate prioritization and delivery of bug fixes, feature enhancements, and new releases within Cargo systems alongside DT&I and commercial stakeholders.
• Deliver fixes, updates, integration projects, and new functionalities across Etihad Cargo’s digital infrastructure.
• Contribute significantly to the Cargo Booking Website through enhancement initiatives, requirement gathering, testing, and collaboration with vendors and developers.
• Facilitate integration projects between Cargo platforms, customer systems, and third-party applications.
• Design, coordinate, and deliver smaller internal applications, automation tools, and solutions for operational support.
• Gather, document, and translate business requirements from diverse Cargo-related stakeholders into user stories, functional specs, acceptance criteria, and workflows.
• Participate actively in Agile development processes including backlog refinement, sprint activities, demos, and retrospectives.
• Collaborate closely with DT&I teams, vendors, and developers to ensure clear understanding and execution of requirements and priorities.
• Conduct User Acceptance Testing, regression testing, and functionality validation for delivered features.
• Track and manage defects, assist with issue analysis, and coordinate resolution with technical teams and vendors.
• Monitor product usage, operational KPIs, and user feedback to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Support enhancements to user experience by designing intuitive and effective workflows.
• Execute light technical tasks such as data analysis, API testing, configuration checks, and basic automation scripting.
• Maintain documentation including release notes, process guides, test cases, and knowledge base articles.
• Ensure all solutions meet Etihad's standards for security, governance, and operational reliability.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in product analysis, digital product management, system support, or business systems within cargo, aviation, logistics, or e-commerce is preferred.
• Understanding of Agile methodologies, including Scrum or SAFe frameworks.
• Familiarity with modern web technologies such as JavaScript, React, RESTful APIs, and JSON.
• Experience supporting digital platforms, customer portals, or API integrations is beneficial.
• Skilled in User Acceptance Testing, defect tracking, and coordination of software releases.
• Basic knowledge of SQL, Python, Power BI, or automation tools is advantageous.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to solve problems methodically.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively coordinate with stakeholders and teams.
• Ability to work collaboratively across technical and business teams.
