Job description
About Quandri
Quandri is on a mission to make insurance more trustworthy and more rewarding to experience by applying AI. The company is building an AI operating system for leading insurance agencies and brokerages across North America.
Its work is focused on reshaping how insurance functions at a practical level. By combining deep insurance domain knowledge with technical capability and proprietary models, Quandri aims to improve outcomes for policyholders while helping brokerages serve clients better, grow faster, and adapt to an AI-driven future.
Based in Vancouver, BC, Quandri is supported by major US and Canadian investors and has earned recognition including LinkedIn’s Top Canadian Startups in 2024 and 2025, Deloitte’s Fast 50, CB Insights’ Insurtech 50 and Fintech 100, and The Globe and Mail’s Top Growing Companies in Canada.
Role Overview
The Director of Partnerships will build partnerships into a new distribution engine for Quandri. Rather than relying on one-off deals, this role will create a scalable partner-led growth model, shape the function from the start, and represent the company to high-value external partners.
This is a senior, high-impact role with direct reporting to the CEO, significant influence on company strategy, and the opportunity to define a function rather than inherit one.
Partnership Focus Areas
- Channel partnerships are the main priority, with an emphasis on scalable distribution through agency networks, clusters, aggregators, private equity groups, and statewide associations.
- Carrier partnerships are expected to progress over time from data-sharing arrangements to distribution and later monetization.
- Ecosystem partnerships will cover strategic opportunities across the insurance value chain, including agency management systems, technology vendors, and other important industry participants.
What Success Looks Like
By the end of the first year, the partnerships function should have a clear strategy, the first partners should be live and generating results, and the model should be repeatable enough for others to scale. Early channel revenue will signal that the engine is working, with broader commercial impact growing further in year two and beyond.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and launch the partnerships strategy, including a multi-year roadmap with milestones tied to commercial and strategic outcomes.
- Create the systems, processes, and enablement materials needed to grow the function from a small number of partners to many.
- Build and expand channel partnerships with national and regional agency networks, clusters, and aggregators.
- Own the full partnership sales cycle, from outreach and qualification through negotiation and close.
- Develop scalable one-to-many distribution models and partner enablement programs.
- Work closely with Sales to accelerate revenue once channel partnerships are active.
- Develop strategic relationships with technology vendors, private equity groups, industry associations, MGAs, carriers, and other insurance stakeholders.
- Measure partnership performance using clear metrics and performance tracking.
- Bring market feedback and partner insights back into company strategy and product planning.
- Collaborate across Sales, Product, Marketing, Customer Success, and RevOps to make sure partnerships create value company-wide.
What You Bring
- Five to eight years of experience building channel partnerships that produced meaningful revenue.
- Experience creating partner programs, enabling partner sales teams, and building early-stage one-to-many sales motions.
- A strong understanding of partner economics, sales performance metrics, and quota attainment.
- Proven strength in relationship-building and negotiation across senior stakeholders such as carrier executives and agency leaders.
- High emotional intelligence and the ability to manage complex dynamics while finding workable solutions.
- A strong ownership mindset, comfort with ambiguity, and the ability to act quickly with incomplete information.
- Experience in a fast-growing B2B SaaS environment is considered an advantage.
Success Traits
- A customer-first mindset.
- Comfort working in a fast-moving environment where change and innovation are constant.
- Strong personal accountability and follow-through.
- Interest in using AI-first thinking to solve meaningful problems.
- A bias for urgency and decisive action, even when that means learning through mistakes.
- Low ego and a focus on the best outcome for customers.
- A desire to make a large and visible impact rather than small incremental changes.
Compensation And Benefits
The expected total compensation for this role is about $200,000, including base pay and bonus, plus equity. The bonus is performance-based and linked to partnership revenue and milestone achievement.
- Comprehensive health coverage, including a Lifestyle Spending Account.
- Four weeks of paid vacation each year.
Guiding Principles
- Customers at the core: Customer needs guide decision-making, and long-term success comes from aligning company success with customer success.
- Move with urgency: Speed is treated as a competitive advantage, while slower decision-making is used only when it is intentional and necessary.
- Be curious: The team values deep understanding, asks questions, and avoids settling for surface-level answers.
- Excellence in execution: High-quality delivery matters in everything from product work to communication.
- Act like an owner: Team members are expected to follow through, take responsibility, and think long term.
- Fight for simplicity: The company favors streamlined solutions and resists unnecessary complexity.
- AI-first: AI is the preferred starting point for solving problems wherever practical, both internally and for customers.
Hiring Approach
Quandri uses AI to reduce administrative work in the hiring process, such as resume review support and note-taking during interviews. AI assists the process, but people make all final hiring decisions. Candidates may reach out with questions about information handling or AI usage during recruitment.
