Overview

The Director of Operations leads the strategic direction and management across all operational areas, including machining, assembly, quality assurance, and supply chain functions. This role is instrumental in shaping and implementing strategies that foster company growth, enhance scalability, and improve profitability, while ensuring that customer demands regarding quality, cost, and timely delivery are met.

Key Responsibilities

Serving as a vital part of the leadership team, the Director of Operations promotes alignment across departments, drives long-term planning, and champions continuous improvements. This position oversees the full supply chain strategy, driving operational excellence and contributing to overall business performance.

Required Expertise and Skills

  • Extensive knowledge in manufacturing operations and comprehensive supply chain management.
  • Track record of formulating and deploying strategic plans that deliver tangible business outcomes.
  • Strong financial expertise, including budgeting, cost control, and capital investment planning.
  • Proficient in lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar operational excellence methodologies.
  • Demonstrated leadership success managing sizable, diverse teams at multiple organizational levels.
  • Excellent communication abilities and stakeholder relationship management.
  • Data-driven decision-making supported by strong analytical skills.
  • Experience with ERP/MRP platforms such as Syteline and advanced planning systems.
  • Capability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-evolving business environment.
  • High accountability and a focus on achieving results.

Educational Background

  • A bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Business, Operations, Engineering, or a closely related field is mandatory.
  • Possession of an MBA or higher qualification is preferred.
  • Equivalent combinations of education and experience are also considered.

Professional Experience

  • Minimum 12 to 15 years of experience in manufacturing operations or supply chain leadership.
  • At least 8 to 10 years in senior leadership roles with progressive responsibility.
  • Prior exposure to electronic manufacturing or associated industries is highly desirable.
