Position Overview

We are seeking a PGA professional passionate about golf and teaching to lead and expand the golf instruction program at our Jacksonville, FL venue. This role involves overseeing all golf instruction activities, including lessons, leagues, tournaments, player development series, and camps, while also managing and developing Lead Instructors and integrating community engagement.

Key Responsibilities

• Organize and deliver individual and group golf lessons adapting to all skill levels.
• Incorporate tools like swing analysis technology and launch monitors into instruction methods.
• Promote instruction offerings by engaging guests during peak times.
• Plan and coordinate tournaments, leagues, summer camps, and development series.
• Expand the instruction platform via marketing, partnerships, and community outreach.
• Collaborate with events teams to integrate lessons into venue programming.
• Supervise requests for lesson schedules and instructional programming.
• Manage and develop the team of Lead Instructors to deliver high-quality coaching and sales performance.
• Hold instructors accountable for lesson quality, scheduling, and guest satisfaction.
• Oversee club fitting, repair, and maintenance of golf equipment and ensure tools and technology are well-maintained.
• Maintain budget compliance for the golf services program.

Qualification Requirements

• 2 to 3 years experience delivering golf instruction across varied skill levels.
• PGA membership mandatory; Class A Certification preferred.
• Bachelor's degree is desirable.
• Proven leadership managing independent golf instruction programs.
• Proficient with swing analysis and launch monitor technologies.
• Strong interpersonal, coaching, communication, and organizational skills.
• Capacity to work varied shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be at least 21 years old as per local laws.

Physical Demands

• Extended periods of standing and walking including stairs and outdoor tee lines.
• Ability to work under extreme weather conditions for prolonged durations.
• Active engagement in demonstrations and coaching across the venue.
• Handling golf equipment and supplies throughout shifts.
• Maintain stamina to support a large volume of lessons and programming activities.
