About the Role
The Director of EBC leads segmented sales initiatives including groups, transient clients, associations, and corporate sectors, implementing strategies to achieve revenue targets across properties within the designated region. This leadership role is responsible for all daily sales operations, aiming to establish enduring customer relationships that support revenue objectives. The position demands achievement of personal booking goals and guiding the sales targets for direct reports.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with regional sales leaders to ensure comprehensive understanding and application of sales strategies.
- Design, deploy, and maintain aggressive outreach plans to boost business opportunities.
- Partner with management to formulate and execute sales plans targeting revenue growth and customer acquisition for respective segments.
- Assist in developing both internal and external promotional efforts.
- Provide dynamic leadership to maximize revenue, including setting and achieving personal and team booking goals.
- Oversee daily activities of direct sales team members, participate in sales calls to procure or close deals, and manage operational sales tasks such as proposals, contracts, and customer communications.
- Analyze market data and financial performance using sales systems to adjust strategies for meeting room and catering financial objectives.
- Support revenue management with accurate forecasting and review guest satisfaction results to pinpoint improvement areas.
- Champion exceptional guest service by exemplifying hospitality leadership, seeking guest feedback pre-and post-events, and embedding customer satisfaction into department goals.
- Empower and train employees to consistently deliver superior service and handle recognition programs to reward outstanding performance.
- Build and nurture relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, ensure compliance with regulations, and collaborate across sales channels to align efforts.
- Participate in customer events, trade shows, and sales missions to sustain and grow key business connections.
- Lead recruitment, onboarding, and training processes for sales staff to ensure business needs are met with qualified personnel.
Candidate Profile
Educational qualifications include either a 2-year degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or similar, coupled with 4 years of relevant professional experience; or a 4-year bachelor's degree in these fields with a minimum of 2 years experience in sales and marketing or related roles.
