Le Méridien Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Heart of House Specialist - Steward to join their team in Dubai, UAE. This non-management role plays a vital part in supporting various hotel departments such as kitchen, food and beverage, and laundry by ensuring cleanliness and organization. The position demands professionalism, adherence to safety, quality standards, and effective teamwork.

Key Responsibilities

• Support multiple departments by performing cleaning and maintenance tasks including preparing fresh linen and spotless dining ware.
• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment such as dishwashers, hand wash stations, and linen washers/dryers.
• Transport dishware and linens throughout the hotel as needed.
• Contribute to a safe work environment by following all company policies and reporting unsafe conditions or accidents to management.
• Maintain high-quality standards through professional appearance, communication, and work ethic.
• Prepare to move, lift, carry, push, pull, or place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
• Work in various physical positions including standing, sitting, walking for extended durations, and perform tasks requiring bending, twisting, pulling, or stooping.
• Perform additional reasonable duties as requested by supervisors.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Education: No requirement for a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Work Experience: Previous experience not necessary.
• Supervisory Experience: None required.
• Licenses or Certifications: Not mandatory for this position.
