Overview

The Heart of House Specialist plays a crucial role supporting various hotel departments such as kitchen, food and beverage, and laundry by assisting in cleaning and maintenance tasks. Responsibilities include preparing linens and clean tableware, operating and maintaining cleaning equipment like dishwashers and washers/dryers, and transporting linens and tableware throughout the hotel.

Regardless of specific tasks, the role demands maintaining a safe working environment, following company policies and procedures, upholding quality standards, and ensuring professional appearance and communication at all times. This includes meeting performance expectations, fostering positive working relationships with colleagues across departments, collaborating to achieve shared goals, appropriately responding to concerns, and reporting accidents or hazardous conditions to management.

The position involves physical tasks such as moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, and placing objects weighing less than 50 pounds unassisted. It requires continuous movement including standing, sitting, and walking for extended periods, as well as frequent bending, squatting, twisting, stretching, and crouching. Other reasonable duties may be assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications and Experience

No formal secondary education or GED certificate is required. No prior related work experience or supervisory experience is necessary, and no licenses or certifications are needed.
