Job description
About the Organization
The Center for the Rights of Abused Children is devoted to ensuring every child has a secure and loving home. Their efforts have safeguarded more than one million children through pro bono legal services and effective reforms nationwide.
Position Summary
We seek a motivated and seasoned leader to secure major corporate partnerships generating six- and seven-figure funding to support the rescue and protection of abused children across the country. This unique role focuses on strategic cause-marketing collaborations, co-branded products, and multi-year philanthropic agreements rather than traditional fundraising methods. Ideal candidates are entrepreneurial and proactive in identifying and closing partnership opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of corporate partnerships.
- Create customized proposals, sponsorship packages, and cause-marketing initiatives tailored to prospective partners.
- Negotiate and finalize partnership contracts, managing relationships to encourage renewal and expansion.
- Engage and nurture ambassadors who can advocate and utilize their influence to promote the mission.
- Work closely with communications teams to provide partners with compelling storytelling, visibility, and impact reporting.
- Represent the organization in industry events, corporate meetings, and public speaking opportunities.
- Provide regular updates on partnership pipeline, revenue, and results to executive leadership.
Candidate Qualifications
- Minimum of five years' experience in corporate partnerships, cause marketing, business development, or major-gift fundraising, demonstrating success in securing significant agreements.
- Proficient in researching and prioritizing companies whose brand and audience align with child protection initiatives.
- Effective and polished communicator capable of engaging executives, brand teams, and boards confidently.
- Self-starter with strong business development skills able to independently identify and close partnerships without relying solely on introductions.
- Adept at converting warm leads from organizational networks into structured, lasting partnerships.
- Knowledgeable in designing partnership models including cause-marketing campaigns, percentage-of-sales initiatives, co-branded products, employee giving, and multi-year grants.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with persistence and discipline to build and manage a pipeline and close deals independently.
- Passion for and alignment with the organization's mission, able to communicate fluently about legal advocacy and protections for abused children.
Benefits and Work Environment
- Opportunity to join a nationally recognized organization awarded the Norman Borlaug Humanitarian Award and GuideStar Platinum Seal of Transparency.
- Flexible work schedule supporting a family-friendly, mission-driven workplace culture.
- Remote location flexibility.
