Job description
About the Role
The Higher Education Assistance Group, Inc. (HEAG) is seeking seasoned Director-level consultants with at least five years of recent leadership experience in Financial Aid Offices or Student Accounts/Bursar Offices within fast-paced educational environments. While prior consulting in financial aid is advantageous, it is not a requirement. Candidates must be available full time, with preference given to those willing to travel.
Key Responsibilities
Consultants will temporarily fill interim Director positions across a variety of educational institutions, handling complex compliance matters. They will administer Financial Aid Programs effectively, managing both strategic initiatives and operational functions. The role requires significant expertise in various Student Information Systems including Banner, Colleague, PowerFAIDS, Peoplesoft, Jenzabar, along with Department of Education software.
Qualifications and Skills
Successful candidates must demonstrate strong communication abilities, independently manage staff and office operations largely through remote work, and clearly convey complex compliance and institutional issues to departments and university leadership.
Additional Information
Assignments vary in duration, may be short or long-term, and occasionally require travel. Work hours can fluctuate depending on the assignment's needs.
