  • Design and implement portfolio review workflows that aid in prioritization, escalation, accountability, and executive decision-making.
  • Track portfolio status including schedules, budgets, risks, interdependencies, resource availability, and business outcomes.
  • Detect delivery risks, propose resource allocations, project sequencing, and strategic trade-offs to mitigate these risks.
  • Lead and mentor project managers and research staff, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and ongoing improvement.
  • Assign resources to projects based on priorities, complexity, and team strengths.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to facilitate execution, overcome obstacles, and ensure strategic alignment.
  • Support readiness for organizational change, planning implementations, and managing change efforts for key initiatives.
  • Develop executive dashboards, scorecards, and reporting frameworks to improve visibility into performance metrics, risks, resource capacity, and progress.
  • Facilitate stakeholder communications among leadership teams, governance bodies, project sponsors, and external collaborators.
  • Promote transparency throughout all project phases by communicating milestones, risks, decisions, and results effectively.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.
  • At least 8 years of progressive leadership experience managing complex portfolios, programs, projects, or PMO functions.
  • Minimum of 5 years managing project or program managers and cross-functional teams.
  • Preferred certifications include PMP, PgMP, CAPM, or similar project/portfolio management credentials.
  • Proven experience in overseeing large-scale initiatives involving technology, healthcare operations, research, innovation, or business transformation.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of portfolio governance, project management methodologies, resource planning, and delivery frameworks.
  • Experience in leading executive-level discussions, prioritization, and strategic planning.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and change management competencies.
  • Capacity to operate under ambiguity, balance competing priorities, manage complex dependencies, and satisfy stakeholder expectations.
  • Familiarity with healthcare technology ecosystems, preferably including Epic environments.
  • Ability to establish strong relationships, mentor teams, and apply data-driven insights to enhance execution.

Benefits
