Role overview
PwC Ireland is hiring a Director for Identity & Access Management within its Advisory line of service and Cybersecurity & Privacy specialism. In this senior leadership role, you will guide clients through complex security challenges, shaping IAM strategy and taking solutions from planning through implementation. The position focuses on securing access to critical resources in large environments using technologies such as CyberArk, Okta, and Saviynt.
What you will do
- Develop and roll out IAM strategies and solutions for clients across multiple sectors.
- Advise clients on IAM standards, good practice, and compliance obligations such as GDPR and HIPAA.
- Help expand IAM offerings and strengthen client relationships to support business growth.
- Lead, coach, and develop cybersecurity teams while building leadership capability.
- Assess emerging IAM technologies, tools, and approaches to keep solutions current and effective.
- Stay up to date with changes in IAM standards, authentication protocols, and regulatory requirements.
Candidate profile
This role calls for a seasoned IAM leader with deep hands-on experience designing and delivering identity solutions in large, complex environments. You should be able to connect technical security requirements to business outcomes, work confidently with executives and technical stakeholders, and align IAM practices with wider cybersecurity programmes. A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline is expected; a master’s degree is preferred, although equivalent relevant professional experience may also be considered.
Requirements
- 10+ years of full-time experience in cybersecurity, with a strong focus on IAM.
- Proven experience designing and implementing IAM solutions in large-scale, complex environments.
- Practical expertise with CyberArk, Okta, and Saviynt.
- Strong understanding of SSO, MFA, and PAM.
- Experience with IAM frameworks and standards such as NIST, ISO 27001, and CSA.
- Solid knowledge of identity and access security concepts, including OAuth, SAML, and Kerberos.
- Background in integrating IAM with broader IT security strategy and operations.
- Ability to communicate clearly with both senior business leaders and technical teams.
- Experience handling IAM-related regulatory compliance requirements, including GDPR and HIPAA.
- Professional certifications such as CIAM, CISSP, or CISM are a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a closely related field; master’s preferred.
