Role overview

PwC Ireland is looking for an experienced accountant to support an ongoing EM/FI system implementation. The role is based in the Financial Reporting team and combines month-end accounting work, internal and external reporting, and support for the project team during the transition.

This position is at Senior Associate level within Internal Firm Services, under the Finance specialism. It is a fixed-term role in Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland.

What you will be doing

  • Help prepare monthly internal financial statements for business units and lines of service.
  • Bring together statements, commentary, and adjustments into a single reporting pack.
  • Make sure monthly business unit reporting ties back to operational results and gives leadership useful insight.
  • Support review processes at both business-unit and partner level.
  • Prepare reporting templates, schedules, and other month-end outputs.
  • Prepare and file quarterly and annual statutory submissions where needed.
  • Coordinate reporting packs and statutory disclosures for partners and shareholders.
  • Support compliance with regulatory, tax, accounting, and PwC Global expectations.
  • Create periodic engagement reporting for board and partner review meetings.
  • Assist the Financial Controller with narrative commentary, financial analysis, and presentation materials.
  • Provide reports that support partner-level decisions such as distributions, drawings, and profit share.
  • Support testing of the new EM/FI system.
  • Help produce documentation and training materials for the implementation.
  • Assist with data reconciliation and verification activities.

Experience and technical background

  • At least 4 years of experience in financial reporting, audit, or accounting.
  • Strong knowledge of statutory reporting, corporate reporting, and management reporting cycles.
  • Prior exposure to consolidations, eliminations, and group reporting is preferred.
  • Solid technical accounting expertise.
  • Experience using SAP, EPM tools, or similar reporting systems is a strong plus.
  • Ability to read financial results and write clear commentary around them.
  • Confident working with stakeholders across Finance, Tax, and senior leadership.
  • High attention to detail and strong reporting accuracy.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • Professional qualification such as ACA, ACCA, or CIMA.
  • Must be eligible to work in Ireland.
