Role Overview

As the Director, Global Template Owner for Innovative Medicine Operate State, you will lead transformational efforts within our multi-year global initiative called Transcend. This program aims to consolidate and modernize foundational transactional processes into a streamlined, standardized ERP system based on SAP S/4 HANA. It simplifies the Pharmaceutical ERP landscape from seven systems to one, ensuring cost-effective, agile digital infrastructure to support the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Functional Template Owners and Centers of Excellence to oversee governance and capability enhancement.
• Partner with Technology teams to maintain system content, process flows, and configuration elements.
• Work closely with Master Data teams to ensure excellence in master and transactional data supporting operations.
• Ensure compliance with Innovative Medicine and Transcend processes and standards.
• Engage with IT and enterprise architecture teams to integrate solutions seamlessly, including analytics and visualization.
• Embed best practices and agile methodologies by collaborating with Strategic Program Leads.
• Establish and maintain cross-functional support for deployed system capabilities.
• Promote preventative actions and enterprise knowledge sharing, acting as an escalation point for critical user issues.
• Develop infrastructure to support Super Users in access management and security controls.
• Lead system audit and inspection teams to ensure quality and compliance.
• Align support documentation with Quality Management System requirements through meticulous creation, revision, and approvals.
• Manage Change Control Boards to oversee system standards, architecture changes, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Facilitate business case development and lead implementation of improvements with business readiness oversight.
• Drive continuous improvement participation, encouraging functional excellence and subject matter expertise growth among team members.
• Partner with global supply chain experts to align on process design, development, maintenance, and integration points.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• High School diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree or higher strongly preferred.
• Professional certifications in project management (e.g., PMP, FPX), supply chain (APICS), or Lean/Six Sigma are desirable.
• At least 10 years of relevant experience in complex, multi-ERP environments supporting operations, supply chain, or finance.
• Demonstrated success in managing or supporting large-scale ERP transformation programs.
• Proven ability to lead technological process improvements within global organizations.
• Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and leadership skills with the ability to interact across organizational levels.
• Experience in people management, including leading direct or indirect reports and collaborating with partners.

Preferred Experience

• Background in pharmaceuticals, life sciences, or other regulated industries.
• Expertise in business process design and optimization.
• Hands-on experience with large-scale SAP ERP replacements.
• Proven governance experience with multi-functional decision-making bodies.
• Skill in deploying and improving standardized processes, tools, and templates.

Additional Information

• Fluency in English required; knowledge of German, Dutch, or Italian is advantageous.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 50% depending on business demands.
• Role requires a flexible hybrid work schedule with on-site presence at least three days a week, with up to two remote days.

Compensation and Benefits

Annual base salary in Ireland ranges from €104,000 to €179,515, with the primary posting location’s pay range between €119,200 and €204,355. Additional compensation may include annual bonuses based on individual and company performance, parental and various leaves, wellness reimbursements, insurance plans, and recognition awards. Benefits vary by location and are subject to change.
