Position Summary
We are looking for an experienced and meticulous Dimensional Control Surveyor possessing solid expertise in mechanical fabrication and offshore project environments. The candidate will handle dimensional surveying for oil & gas, offshore wind, and shipbuilding sectors, employing advanced software and precision surveying instruments. This position demands accuracy, adaptability, and the capacity to maintain performance under demanding conditions.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct dimensional control surveys in mechanical fabrication yards, offshore platforms, shipyards, and vessel conversion projects.
- Ensure precise alignment, installation, and fabrication compliance according to engineering and client specifications.
- Operate Leica Total Stations TS-15 and TS-16 along with other fine measurement tools.
- Use specialized software such as Spatial Analyzer and AutoCAD for dimensional control processes.
- Produce detailed survey reports, documentation, and as-built drawings for project completion.
- Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and quality assurance/control teams to address and resolve any dimensional issues.
- Provide support for offshore wind projects by verifying dimensions and installation accuracy.
- Adhere strictly to health, safety, and quality protocols throughout survey activities.
- Maintain high accuracy and focus even in pressure-intense environments.
- Contribute input to fabrication and installation planning stages based on dimensional data.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Dimensional Controller in mechanical fabrication yards.
- Expertise in oil & gas and offshore wind project environments.
- Experience in offshore platforms, shipbuilding, and conversions is preferred.
- Proficiency with Spatial Analyzer and AutoCAD software.
- Practical experience operating Leica Total Stations (TS-15 & TS-16).
- Ability to remain physically and mentally resilient under high-pressure work conditions.
- Available for immediate joining without notice period.
