Job description
Role overview
North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust delivers radiography services across its main hospital locations in North Tees and Hartlepool, along with community facilities in Stockton, Hartlepool and Peterlee. This position is primarily based at University Hospital of North Tees, but the appointed radiographer may be asked to support any of the trust’s sites depending on service demand.
The trust is expanding its imaging provision and uses modern digital systems across all locations, including digital mobile units and wireless fluoroscopic C-arm equipment at the main hospital sites. The team is seeking an enthusiastic radiographer who wants to build on existing experience and contribute to a motivated, collaborative department.
The service supports flexible working and a variety of shift patterns, with this position offered on a full-time basis.
What the role involves
The postholder will help deliver a high-quality imaging service while maintaining strong standards of patient care and service excellence.
Work will include cross-site duties and participation in extended days and rota-based shifts to match operational needs.
The role also requires clear communication of relevant service, technical and patient-condition information to patients, carers, radiology colleagues, and staff in other departments and wards.
You will be expected to follow all trust infection prevention and control procedures, including hand hygiene, personal hygiene, environmental hygiene and food hygiene, and complete annual IPC updates.
Qualifications and registration
Applicants must hold English Language GCSE grade C or an equivalent qualification, or Key Skills Communication at Level 2 or equivalent.
A BSc, MSc or diploma in Diagnostic Radiography is required.
HCPC registration is required, or the applicant must be actively working towards registration.
