About the Role

The Health Care Support Worker at Band 3 level is a vital position at the Pre-Assessment Unit within the South Sector. This unit has an established elective surgery pre-assessment service dedicated to delivering safe, high-quality care. Candidates with experience in surgical or medical environments and advanced skills such as phlebotomy and performing 12-lead ECGs will find excellent opportunities to enhance their expertise while joining a supportive and dynamic team.

Position Details

  • Permanent, full-time role with a 36-hour workweek
  • Location: New Victoria Hospital, Glasgow, G42 9LL
  • Work schedule: Monday to Friday, from 08:00 to 16:00

Required Knowledge and Qualifications

  • Demonstrated caring attitude, preferably with prior experience in care environments
  • Capacity to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams
  • Strong literacy, numeracy, and excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Ability to perform assigned duties efficiently in a fast-paced setting
  • Willingness to complete any mandatory training related to the role
