Job description
Role Overview
As the Deputy Vice President for Cross Border & Commercial Enablement, you will spearhead the development and continuous improvement of our Cross Border product portfolio, optimizing network partnerships to enhance operational speed, cost efficiency, and reliability. You will be responsible for negotiating SLAs, establishing performance metrics, and driving supplier optimization through data-driven initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead product innovation and growth in the Cross Border portfolio.
- Formulate and expand a resilient network of partners and suppliers for competitive delivery efficiency.
- Manage Service Level Agreements with rigorous review cycles and enforce accountability via performance scorecards.
- Set and monitor measurable service standards for critical trade corridors, focusing on cost-to-serve and operational improvements.
- Implement standardized and scalable operational workflows and frameworks to ensure scalability.
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration among Product, Operations, Business Development, and Customer Experience teams.
- Identify and promote tool and system enhancements that augment execution effectiveness.
- Champion data-driven management practices throughout the product function.
- Collaborate with Business Development leaders in shaping commercial go-to-market strategies, pricing, and packaging models.
- Drive Monthly Active User growth and revenue expansion across product lines by targeting key customer segments and vertical markets.
- Enhance Business Development organizational capabilities by integrating Lead Generation, Cross Border, Domestic, Supply Chain, and Ad Sales representatives, alongside a dedicated Customer Success team.
- Define clear role responsibilities and handoff processes to streamline customer onboarding and reduce time-to-revenue.
- Create and enforce comprehensive KPI frameworks across Lead Generation, BD, Customer Success, and Sales Account Management functions, promoting performance transparency and accountability.
Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations, Logistics, or a related discipline.
- Over 10 years of experience in logistics, cross-border e-commerce, or freight networks.
- Proven abilities in negotiating across diverse international markets.
- Business-level proficiency in Mandarin to collaborate effectively with Chinese logistics partners.
- Prior experience engaging with PRC logistics companies and solid relationships within consolidator ecosystems.
- Strong familiarity with cross-border e-commerce logistics flows.
- Capability and willingness to undertake independent business travel.
