Role Overview

In response to growing enrolments, Pallara State School expanded with a second campus in early 2026, now operating under a dual-campus model. The Deputy Principal will collaborate with other leaders to drive ongoing advancements within their sector, enhancing the quality of education delivered and promoting high standards throughout the school community.

This leadership position involves developing strong relationships among students, staff, and the community to cultivate a cooperative environment dedicated to growth and success. Key operational and strategic priorities will be managed in alignment with the school's and department's broader strategic goals.

Primary Responsibilities

• Support the Principal in guiding the school community to craft and commit to a shared educational vision focused on excellence in student learning outcomes.
• Serve as acting Principal when required, stepping into the leadership role as needed.
• Model the Deputy Principal role as one grounded in ethical, moral, and value-based leadership principles.
• Incorporate principles of social justice into everyday school activities and culture.
• Establish and maintain high expectations for both student achievement and staff performance.
