Deputy Group Chief Governance Officer

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and principled governance leader to become our Deputy Group Chief Governance Officer. This senior role is crucial in supporting the creation and execution of a comprehensive governance framework spanning two statutory NHS organizations, fostering robust decision-making, accountability, and assurance at both organizational and Group levels.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Group Chief Governance Officer in formulating and applying an integrated governance strategy across the Group, ensuring a cohesive Governance service and function.
• Offer strategic leadership and expert guidance on governance, assurance, and regulatory matters to Boards, Committees, and Executive Teams.
• Lead governance support efforts for the Group Board and its Committees.
• Maintain and ensure compliance and effectiveness of governance frameworks, constitutions, standing orders, schemes of delegation, and governance policies, aligning them with Group goals.
• Provide senior oversight for the Group’s risk management framework and strategy.
• Supervise the creation and upkeep of Board Assurance Frameworks and Corporate Risk Registers throughout the Group.
