About the Practice
Lumino Long Bay offers a distinctive chance to advance your dental career in a modern, high-spec clinic near the beach in one of Auckland’s fastest-growing coastal suburbs. The practice combines a premium clinical setting with an appealing lifestyle, making it well suited to a dentist who wants professional growth and quality of life.
Lumino The Dentists is New Zealand’s largest dental network and is part of Abano Healthcare. With more than 120 practices nationwide, the organisation supports patient-focused care through advanced systems, quality facilities, and strong development pathways for clinicians.
Role Overview
This is a full-time dentist opportunity at Lumino Long Bay, a purpose-built, fully digital practice serving a growing community of families and professionals. The clinic is designed with modern equipment and a collaborative team environment, while still giving clinicians the autonomy to work independently.
As the area continues to expand residentially, the role offers strong long-term potential to build a substantial patient base and create a successful practice presence in the community.
What the Role Involves
- Providing high-standard, patient-centred dental treatment
- Helping shape the clinical growth and overall direction of the practice
- Developing and retaining a loyal patient base
- Representing the practice within the local community
- Working alongside a national support network while maintaining clinical independence
Compensation and Offerings
- Full-time pay package of $200K plus 35% commission on a wash-up basis
- Access to a modern, fully digital clinical environment
- Availability across five working days each week
- Marketing and operational support to help expand patient volumes
- Relocation contribution available, subject to terms and conditions
- Clinical freedom supported by New Zealand’s leading dental network
Why Long Bay
- A coastal setting with beach walks, ocean views, and regional parks close by
- Convenient access to the Northern Motorway and key North Shore areas
- Opportunity to enjoy better work-life balance while remaining connected to Auckland city
Candidate Profile
The ideal applicant is an experienced general dentist who is ready to take on a leadership-style role in a growing community. The practice is looking for someone who can deliver excellent clinical care while also helping mentor others and strengthen the business.
Eligibility and Registration
- At least 5 years of experience in general dentistry
- Confidence in a broad range of dental procedures
- A patient-first mindset with strong communication skills
- Ability to guide, mentor, and build a high-performing practice
- Registration with the Dental Council of New Zealand, or eligibility to register
- A current Annual Practising Certificate, or the ability to obtain one
Additional Information
