Job Overview
Domino's Pizza is seeking dependable delivery drivers to join our fast-growing team in Andalusia, AL. Responsibilities
- Deliver pizzas and other products promptly to customers using your own insured vehicle.
- Carry food and beverages safely while navigating diverse terrains including multi-story buildings and private homes.
- Operate store equipment and stock ingredients from deliveries to storage and work areas.
- Take and process telephone orders accurately, including handling payment and making change.
- Maintain cleanliness of equipment and store facilities daily.
- Take inventory and complete required paperwork.
- Deliver promotional flyers and door hangers as needed.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old with a valid driver's license and a safe driving record that meets company standards.
- Access to an insured vehicle suitable for delivery.
- Good navigational skills to locate addresses within the delivery area, including reading maps.
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers and coworkers both verbally and in writing.
- Basic math skills for monetary transactions.
- Physical ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds, climb stairs, and perform tasks involving standing, walking, and reaching.
Work Conditions and Physical Demands
- Exposure to varying weather conditions while delivering.
- Working in hot (up to 500°F near ovens) and cold environments (walk-in coolers at 36°F).
- Repeated motions involving hands and wrists such as handling pizza dough and boxes.
- Ability to work standing for most tasks and walk short distances frequently.
- Carrying heavy and bulky items including ingredient cases and trays of pizza dough.
Training and Advancement
Orientation and on-the-job training are provided. Many team members begin as drivers and advance to managerial roles or franchise ownership. Domino's is committed to fostering diversity and supporting every team member’s potential.
Additional Information
You will frequently use hand tools such as pizza cutters and peels. Workspaces may be cramped with exposure to cornmeal dust and food odors. Jobs involve stooping, crouching, reaching overhead, and standing for prolonged periods.
