  • Partner with broader internal teams to help embed secure ways of working into client delivery.
  • Mentor team members and contribute to the development of future cyber professionals.
  • Take responsibility for delivering outcomes and helping to grow and manage people.

Required Experience and Qualifications

The ideal candidate brings at least 5 years of experience in IT services, with strong cyber security expertise built over time.

A consulting-oriented approach is important, along with the ability to create practical value and influence stakeholders at different levels of seniority.

Technical strength in one or more of the following areas is expected:

  • Security architecture and cloud security
  • Privacy and data protection
  • Secure by design practices
  • Cyber frameworks such as NIST or ISO 27001

Strong written and verbal English communication skills are required for reports, presentations, and client discussions.

What Deloitte Offers

  • Flexible working arrangements designed to support clients, teams, and personal needs.
  • Support for professional growth through subsidised qualifications and paid memberships.

Culture and Inclusion

Deloitte New Zealand is committed to making an impact that matters and has a long history of solving complex problems across audit and assurance, consulting, financial advisory, risk advisory, tax, and technology services.

The workplace is built around shared values such as looking after one another and encouraging inclusion, with the aim of helping every person feel respected, supported, and able to reach their potential.

The organisation strongly values diverse perspectives and aims to provide equal opportunities for growth and development.

Equal Opportunity Note

Applicants are encouraged to apply even if they do not meet every criterion exactly, including ideal working hours or all listed qualifications, especially if they are passionate about the role and believe they have relevant strengths to contribute.
