Job description
Overview
Mindrift brings subject-matter experts into project-based AI work for well-known technology companies. The focus is on assessing, stress-testing, and refining AI systems. This is not a permanent role; participation is tied to individual projects.
Applicants should send a CV in English and include their English proficiency level.
What the work may include
- Developing and reviewing situations around fee questions and statement explanations, including checking that charges align with published fee schedules and separating descriptor-mapping questions from genuine fraud reports.
- Creating scenarios for autopay and payment setup that include common mistakes such as the wrong payee, not enough funds, an incorrect draft date, or skipped confirmation steps.
- Preparing card replacement and fraud-claim cases that test urgency in card-blocking, spotting fraud indicators, collecting intake details, and handing the case off properly to the disputes team.
- Writing account-closure scenarios that check retention-offer rules, review pending transactions, and ensure offers are not extended to customers who are not eligible.
- Evaluating answers for both accuracy and communication quality, including empathy in tense situations, the right tone for the channel used, and clear messaging without making commitments that cannot be kept.
Candidate profile
This project is well suited to professionals who have worked in customer support, banking, or financial services and are comfortable with part-time, non-permanent assignments.
How the process works
Apply, complete the qualification stage(s), join a project, carry out the tasks, and receive payment.
Time commitment
During active periods, the expected workload is around 10 to 20 hours per week. This is only an estimate and depends on the project's needs.
Compensation
Contributors may earn up to the equivalent of $60 per hour, depending on experience level and pace of work. Pay can differ from one project to another based on scope, complexity, and expertise required.
Additional information
Only contributors with strong written English at C1 level or above are a strong fit. A background as a QA analyst, call-center trainer, or conversation designer is considered an advantage. Successful applicants should be able to judge whether an issue falls within service scope and read fee schedules or policy documents to determine the correct rule for a situation.
Relevant academic backgrounds include Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Communications, Psychology, Marketing, or a related discipline. Experience requirements include at least 2 years in customer service, banking, retail, or financial services, with current or recent experience in customer support, banking, financial roles, or closely related work.
