About the Role
NorAlta Health Medical Consulting is seeking a dedicated Medical Assessments Coordinator to enhance our independent medical examination (IME) services. This position plays a crucial role in arranging and managing medical assessment schedules, liaising with healthcare professionals, and supporting our team to ensure top-quality medical assessment operations. The ideal individual will possess knowledge and experience within the medical legal and insurance IME industry, particularly with electronic medical records and office management systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Organize and arrange independent medical examinations and assessments alongside healthcare providers.
- Oversee appointment management to guarantee prompt and accurate scheduling.
- Maintain comprehensive records of assessments using electronic systems such as Epic and Dentrix.
- Facilitate clear communication among medical personnel, patients, and internal employees through phone and other communication tools.
- Prepare and verify assessment documentation while adhering to privacy and confidentiality guidelines.
- Perform administrative functions like data entry, filing, and managing correspondence within assessment procedures.
- Provide support at the front desk, offering high-quality customer service to clients and visitors.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance workflow and uphold service excellence.
Qualifications and Experience
- Previous work experience in medical or dental office settings is highly preferred, including roles such as dental receptionist or administrative assistant.
- Proficient in using electronic medical records platforms like Epic or Dentrix.
- Strong familiarity with medical terminology related to assessments and evaluations.
- Demonstrated ability handling multi-line telephone systems, front desk tasks, and other administrative duties.
- Excellent organizational aptitude with meticulous attention to scheduling and document management.
- Capable of working autonomously while maintaining effective communication and coordination within a team environment.
- Proven background in coordinating assessments or evaluations in medical or dental office contexts.
