Overview

NorAlta Health Medical Consulting is seeking a dedicated IME Medical Assessments Coordinator to join our team. This critical role involves organizing and managing scheduling of independent medical examinations (IMEs), collaborating with health care providers, and ensuring smooth administrative operations within our medical assessment services. The candidate should possess industry knowledge of Medical Legal and Insurance Independent Medical Exams and demonstrate experience in coordination of bookings, reports, and medical documents. Proficiency with electronic medical records and office systems is important to succeed in this position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Organize and schedule IMEs and medical assessments with healthcare professionals.
  • Manage appointment systems, maintaining accuracy and punctuality for all scheduled assessments.
  • Keep comprehensive records of assessments using electronic medical record platforms such as Epic and Dentrix.
  • Communicate through multi-line phone systems and other channels with patients, medical staff, and internal teams.
  • Compose and examine assessment-related documents ensuring strict adherence to confidentiality and privacy regulations.
  • Handle essential administrative duties including data entry, filing, and managing correspondence linked to assessment workflows.
  • Provide support at the front desk when necessary, delivering excellent service to clients and visitors.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance workflow efficiency and maintain high service quality.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Experience in dental or medical office roles, such as dental receptionist or administrative assistant, is highly preferred.
  • Strong familiarity with electronic medical record software like Epic and Dentrix.
  • Understanding of medical terminology related to assessments and evaluations.
  • Proven skills in office management, including handling multi-line phone systems and front desk operations.
  • Excellent organizational capability with attention to detail for scheduling and documentation tasks.
  • Ability to work autonomously while maintaining clear communication within a team environment.
  • Relevant experience in coordinating assessments for medical or dental offices is mandatory.
