Credit Analyst - Corporate Banking

Role overview

An expanding Asian bank is looking for a Credit Analyst to join its Corporate Banking team in Singapore. This position does not come with work visa sponsorship.

What the role involves

• Preparing credit assessments for corporate banking customers
• Analyzing historical and current financial statements and business performance
• Building financial models and forecasting outputs using sensible assumptions
• Drafting reports and projections to support credit approval decisions
• Partnering with Corporate Banking Relationship Managers to assess forecasts and supporting data
• Carrying out sector and industry-level analysis

Candidate profile

• Strong capability in credit report writing
• Experience with large corporate clients is preferred
• Good working knowledge of loan products and trade finance products
• Open to Assistant Relationship Managers or Relationship Managers from Corporate Banking
• Mandarin fluency is needed to communicate with Chinese-speaking clients
• A bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field from a recognized university
• Between 4 and 7 years of relevant credit analysis experience in Corporate Banking
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial analysis
• Strong presentation, influencing, and persuasion skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and perform under tight deadlines
• Advanced spoken and written English and Chinese skills are required to deal with Chinese-speaking headquarter counterparts
• Experience in Middle Market Corporates, Financial Institutions, or General Corporates is considered an advantage
