About the Role
This position is for a Corporate Strategy Vice President or Assistant Vice President based in Singapore. The role partners with senior leaders to shape and deliver strategic priorities that strengthen competitive advantage and create long-term business value. The successful candidate will examine market dynamics, uncover expansion possibilities, and drive cross-functional initiatives that contribute to measurable business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and continually improve corporate strategy so it remains aligned with overall business goals.
- Carry out market studies, competitor reviews, and benchmarking across the industry.
- Spot new avenues for growth, strategic partnerships, and alternative business models.
- Own strategic initiatives from early concept through to implementation.
- Contribute to mergers and acquisitions work, including due diligence and integration planning.
- Work with different business teams to advance strategic programs and monitor performance.
- Develop concise, high-impact presentations for senior executives.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a closely related discipline is required; an MBA is preferred.
- Between 5 and 10 years of experience in strategy or consulting is expected, ideally within the insurance sector.
- Strong analytical thinking and structured problem-solving ability are essential.
- Demonstrated experience handling complex projects and coordinating multiple stakeholders.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills are needed.
- Knowledge of insurance markets, products, and the regulatory environment would be an advantage.
