Job description
Position Overview
The Court Registry Officer role based at Gisborne District Court entails contributing to the efficient running of the Court through collaboration with a diverse range of stakeholders such as applicants, respondents, family members, lawyers, and Oranga Tamariki. The position requires effective communication with Judges both in the courtroom and chambers.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate court proceedings including introducing Judges in English and Te Reo Māori, supporting Judges within the courtroom and chambers, and managing court administrative duties.
- Provide customer service by assisting visitors at the court’s service hub, addressing inquiries through face-to-face, telephone, or email communication.
- Manage case files ensuring accuracy and current data entry as part of case management duties.

Compensation
The salary range for this position falls between $60,729 and $80,794 annually. The final offer will depend on the candidate's skills and experience, with flexibility to offer higher within the salary band for exceptional candidates.
